Questions and Answers:

Browsers

Why am I receiving errors? Is it because I’m using an Internet browser other than Internet Explorer (such as AOL)?
If you’re using an Internet Service Provider (ISP) that has its own software, for example AOL, MSN, or Compuserve, simply launch your software to access the Internet as usual. Then, minimize your ISP’s window and launch Internet Explorer (IE) on top of the ISP’s window. Then, log onto our testing Web site from the Internet Explorer window.
What version of Internet Explorer should I use?

We recommend that you use Internet Explorer (IE) Version 5.5 or above with 128-bit encryption. To check the version of your Internet software, launch IE. Click the Help menu and select “About Internet Explorer.” A dialog box will appear, displaying the version of IE you’re using.

If you are using IE Version 6.0, it may not be set to accept cookies. To accept cookies, launch IE and click the “Tools” menu. Select “Internet Options” and then select the “Privacy” tab. At the bottom of the window, click “Edit.” Type www.catglobal.com and click “OK” to add it. Close IE and then re-launch IE. Then log onto our testing Web site again.

What version of Netscape should I use?
We recommend Netscape Version 6.0 or above or Mozilla FireFox. To check the version of your Internet software, launch Netscape. Click the Help menu and select “About Netscape.” A dialog box will appear, displaying the version of Netscape you’re using. If you know you need to upgrade, simply visit Netscape to get the most recent version.

Firewall Issues

What if I’m behind a firewall?
Check with your technical staff to find out if your organization is using firewall software. Make sure as well that you don’t have firewall software installed on your computer. This software can block your computer from accepting cookies. Our Web site uses the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol to ensure that your connection and information are secure from outside intrusion. Also make sure that you are not blocking port 443, which is needed for SSL.
